At DNA Group, we not only share a workplace, we also share a common passion in supporting our communities through volunteer efforts.
Here are some of the organizations we have served over the years:
Building Independence
DNA Group President, Eric Vaughn, and his wife, Gail, co-founded the Building Independence Project. Building Independence was created to address the demand for affordable independent housing for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
On January 7, 2016, in collaboration with Habitat of Wake and Lutheran Services Carolina’s, construction began on three homes located on Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh, NC. LSC will meet with residents regularly to offer support, encouragement, and assistance as the residents refine their independent living skills.
DNA employees have volunteered with Habitat to help with the construction.
Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina
DNA employees collected over 300 lbs. of non-perishable food to donate for relief efforts after Hurricane Matthew. DNA employees also volunteered to sort and pack donations, resulting in the preparation of over 6,500 meals.
Raleigh Rescue Mission
DNA employees volunteered at Raleigh Rescue Mission. We sorted baby clothes and home goods.
Veteran’s Day
In 2015, DNA employees collected over $900 in cash and clothing to donate to the Durham VA Hospital.
In 2016, DNA Group donated $500 to the Fort Bragg Fisher House to honor our employee veterans.
Meals on Wheels
For over 8 years, DNA Group has supported the Meals on Wheels program by delivering meals once a month.
